Winter’s Tale is the most recent work of directer Akiva Goldsman. The film, which is best described as a fairy tale for grown ups, is a story about a love so deep, it transcends time. Peter Lake is a common crook who stumbles upon his one true love by happenstance.
At the urging of his horse (yes, you read that right) Peter breaks into a mansion on the Lower East Side in Manhattan. Once inside, he discovers he’s not alone and thus his love story begins. Peter and Beverly immediately fall for one another, though Beverly is terminally ill. Upon learning he has the gift of reincarnation, Peter makes it his life’s work to bring back his one true love, only to discover that his gift was actually reserved for someone else.
