After parting ways with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang, Lola Monroe is bossing up. It’s a new year, and the DC femcee is a brand new woman in her Mykel-directed video “Band Up.”
The primarily black and white video features Lola resting upon her throne as she lyrically rules her minions. “Band Up” arrives after the release of Lola’s 2013 Lipstick & Pistols mixtape.
Last summer, we caught up with Lola Monroe during the BET Awards weekend in Los Angeles. During our time together, Lola gushed about motherhood, touring while pregnant, and juggling a bubbling music career.
