Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard released a very dark cover of Katy Perry‘s #1 hit, “Dark Horse.”
With production courtesy of Noisecastle III, the cover is almost completely different from the original track, ditching the twerk-perfect Dr. Luke beat and replacing it with an owl-sounding, haunting beat.
Dawn sticks with the original, melodious flow, but of course adds her trademark harmonies.
Danity Kane made the announcement of their comeback a couple months ago and are working nonstop on their third album. A release date has not yet been announced, but Dawn is still dropping solo music for her fans.
