A Brooklyn man, by the name of Wesley Hunter, jumped from a hotel window at the W hotel in midtown NYC, and his landing was the roof of the theater for Motown: The Musical on Broadway.

According to the NY Post, theatre-goers heard a loud thump on top of the roof, that shook the theater chandelier, just moments before the curtains rose to start the Broadway show.

The cast seemed to ignore the loud noise, as they continued the show on schedule, with no one discovering Hunter’s body for 12 hours.

A law enforcement told the site of the incident:

“That’s Broadway for ya. People paid good money for their tickets, so the show had to go on.”

Reports say that Hunter was not a guest at the hotel, and that security cameras show him entering the building and taking the elevator to the roof at around 6:50 A.M.

His body wasn’t seen until the next morning when a female guest looked out the window and saw him on the roof of the theater building while she was doing a workout.

Hunter was then put into a body bag and carried out of the theater before noon, so that it would not conflict with the next matinee.

We pray for the family of Wesley Hunter at this tragic time.
