Taylor Swift recently put in a restraining order against a man named Timothy Sweet, who believes the 23-year-old pop singer is his wife.
Sweet has reportedly been harassing Swift since 2011, claiming to “kill anyone that stands in his way.” The threats even go so far as to name the US Secretary of State, John Kerry.
TMZ has obtained a number of emails, letters, and social media posts, all of Sweet claiming his love for Taylor. Some of the memos include:
“If anyone in Taylor Swift’s family gets killed, it is not my fault.”
“My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverly Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life.”
“Dearest Taylor, I’ll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage. Message to John Kerry, Secretary of State. Message from YOUR Presidential Candidate.”
Swift, as she should, fears for the safety of her family and herself. A judge has ordered that Sweet stay 100 yards from the singer and three members of her family.
