Could we live in a world where we never see a naked Lena Dunham on our television screens again?

While we admire how much she loves the skin she’s in, it would be nice to have a break from seeing her in the buff, only because that much nudity from any one person can become overwhelming. But, we do have to admit that this girl is a pretty damn brilliant actress. Take her SNL hosting debut, for example. However, as we learned during her recent interview with Glamour, acting may soon become a thing of Lena’s past.

Inside the issue, she opened up about her relationship with fun. musician Jack Antonoff, becoming a book author and being a writer-slash-director-slash-star in her own hit HBO series, GIRLS.

Before the April issue hits stands on March 18, check out some excerpts and photos from her interview after the jump.

On how she really feels about being an actress:

“I don’t know if I’m going to want to act anymore. I’m always relieved on the days I don’t have to. I’d rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts.”

On the girls of GIRLS:

“I wasn’t like, ‘I want us all to be chubby with acne!’ I wanted us to be beautiful — but the way you have friends who are beautiful and you go, ‘My friend Meredith just has the most amazing face.’ You’re not marveling at her like a movie star, but you’ve fallen in love with her face.”

On her personal beauty:

“I feel prettier with a naked face and ChapStick. But a good haircut makes a huge difference.”

While Lena may be a polarizing figure in pop culture, she’s become a favorite in the fashion industry (she’s decked out in designs from Miu Miu, Celine, and Prabal Gurung for this spread). Her candidness and lack of filter brings her under fire sometimes, and other times, it makes for some hilarious behind-the-scenes coverage. Watch her on the set of Glamour in the video below.
