If we were hopping on a plane for a 14-hour flight to China, you’d see us in our chicest pair of sweats and comfiest sneaks. But Michelle Obama went another route, opting for a wool patchwork dress from Derek Lam and thigh-high boots. Naturally.
She arrived for a visit to the country yesterday at the invitation of fellow First Lady and fashionista Peng Liyuan. There, Michelle will be spending the weekend to discuss the importance of education and enjoy a little sight-seeing around Beijing.
But she isn’t the only one stunting fresh off the PJ–both Sasha and Malia are super cute (as usual) in circle skirts. There’s no doubt about it: the First Family is pretty fly. Since 2009, the world has had their eyes on the Obamas’ style, and they’ve held a special place in our hearts for being the best dressed in the White House.
