Toyota will be honored as one of the world’s leading green car producers at England’s upcoming Green Car Showcase.
According to Blue and Green Tomorrow, the brand, along with several others, will be highlighted at the Renewable Energy Marketplace for the public to test drive the cars on display on April 8.
Toyota’s Auris and Yaris Hybrids will be available. With green energy solutions rising in the UK, the event’s organizer Kerry Hayes promises the event will be a hit with consumers.
“We are thrilled to be giving the public the opportunity to test a wide range of exciting electric and hybrid cars now available from mainstream manufacturers including Tesla, BMW, Renualt, Toyota and Lexus,” she says.
“The Green Car Showcase is being held alongside the largest energy event in the south-west, Renewable Energy Marketplace, giving businesses and householders the opportunity to see how to generate their own power and cut costs at the same time.”
Hybrid and electric car interest continues to grow with consumers overseas, with the sales up by 17.5 percent in 2013.
