Marissa Alexander, the woman who faces 20 years in prison for firing a warning shot near her estranged husband in Jacksonville, Fla., will stand before the court in a pretrial this morning. Alexander was previously charged with three counts of attempted assault, but received a new trial after the courts overturned her conviction. Alexander’s new trial begins in July. [First Coast News

For the first time in years, no casualties have been reported in Afghanistan for a month. Previous months that reported no casualties were January 2007 and July 2002. Over 2,000 troops have died in Afghanistan since October 1, 2001. [CNN

Fox News made a huge mistake regarding the Affordable Care Act’s enrollment numbers. The network showed a graphic downplaying the amount of people enrolled for health care. Host Bill Hemmer apologized for the mistake. [Huff Post

Not all pranks are funny. A woman falsely reported a shooting as an April Fool’s Day prank. Angela Timmons texted her daughter to report a school shooting at Virgina College. After her mother didn’t respond to her messages, she called 911. Over a dozen police cars headed to the school to find out that Timmons confessed it was a joke. She was arrested and charged with disturbing schools. [WLTX
