West Coast rapper-turned-actor Ice Cube found himself in hot water after comments he made following the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. Now, Cube says his comments were taken out of context.
According to USA Today, the rapper said, “we was robbed” in the Best Onscreen Duo category during the award show.
He and Ride Along co-star Kevin Hart lost to the late Paul Walker and Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious 6.
“We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy,” Cube said.
Vin accepted the award on behalf of himself and his now-deceased co-star. The actor teared up while giving an emotional acceptance speech and posted a heartfelt video on his Facebook wall, shot from the set of Fast & Furious 7.
Though tears Vin said, “I wish he could be here to see this, but I know he’s here in spirit. Thank you for honoring me and, more importantly, thank you for honoring that angel, my brother Paul Walker.”
Ice Cube has since changed his tune.
“I wasn’t really mad we didn’t win. So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker,” he now says.
He also took to Twitter in an attempt to clear things up. According to TMZ, sources close to the rapper say he was just joking in the USA Today interview, because he doesn’t take award shows seriously.
In other news, Bryan Cranston helped give one teen the most epic way to ask a girl to prom ever.
The young boy approached Cranston after one of his Broadway performances and made a strange request – help him ask someone to prom. The Breaking Bad star happily obliged.

The Office fans, brace yourselves. According to Ricky Gervais, the series may be making a return to the small screen in an epic spin-off series starring David Brent.
Gervais told Radio Times magazine that both BBC and Netflix are interested in working out a spin-off of the popular show.
