Journalist, news anchor, and television host Naja Hill recently brought her talents to GlobalGrindTV and sat down with the cast of the highly anticipated new film Transcendence.

Heavy hitter Johnny Depp stars as Will Caster, a scientist who believes technology has the power to become greater than the collective intelligence of every human being ever born, only to have his theories tested when he’s shot by a student, threatening his very existence.

Rebecca Hall plays Will’s wife, who’d do anything to save his life – even upload his consciousness so that he isn’t totally gone – but it wouldn’t be the sci-fi drama that it is without Max (played Paul Bettany), who believes a line needs to be drawn where technology and divinity are concerned.

Hill talks all about these mysterious phenomena with Hall, Bettany, and the movie’s director Wally Pfister, asking Rebecca if, in reality, she would ever try to save a loved one’s life virtually.

Rebecca responds:

“It’s impossible to say, because I think it’s one of those decisions that none of us can honestly answer unless you’re there and you’re in that heightened state of adrenaline, and grief, and emotion, and you know – if you have the medicine at hand, or the antidote, the poison, or whatever it is… how could you not use it?”

That’s one loaded question! Watch the rest of this interesting, mind-boggling interview up above and leave your thoughts below.

Transcendence hits theaters on April 18th.
