What was your room like when you were a kid?
Wait. Don’t tell us. We’ll tell you.
You probably had a 19-inch Sharp TV (like the one Kanye gave Sway); you had a toy chest, packed with action figures and dolls that were missing limbs; your wallpaper was some kind of navy blue or mustard yellow; there were various magazine clippings all over the wall; and you had a cracked mirror.
Not too impressive.
Fiction is always more impressive than real life. And the stars of our fave shows as a kid didn’t have rooms like we did. Their rooms were off the hook.
This week, for #TBT, we’re going to look at some of the coolest fictional childhood bedrooms from some of our favorite throwback TV shows and movies. (’80s, ’90s babies only, please.)
Check it out in the gallery below.

1. Bart Simpson's room ("The Simpsons")
OK, so we could do without the pink wallpaper (WTH, dude?). But, Bart's room had every kind of toy you needed, from a Krusty the Clown doll to a super pervy telescope.
2. Screech's bedroom ("Saved By The Bell")
No, Screech wasn't as hip as Zack or Slater. But he had them beat in the cool-room category, which included 2014 technology - like a robot.
3. Cher Horowitz's beedroom ("Clueless")
Cher had the coolest room anyone has ever seen. Her closet included a cheat device that picked outfits out for her. (That's actually an App now.)
4. Andy's bedroom ("Toy Story")
Andy's room contained toys that came alive when no one was around. Isn't that just every kid's dream?
5. Ri¢hie Ri¢h's bedroom ( "Ri¢hie Ri¢h")
Ri¢hie Ri¢h had a freakin' McDonalds in his room. The only thing that would have been better is if he had a Chipotle.
6. Clarissa’s Room ("Clarissa Explains It All")
Clarissa spent a lot of time in her room. And why shouldn't she have? It's so cool, containing so many knick-knacks and toys. And her friend Sam always climbed through her bedroom window!
7. Randy's room ("Home Improvement")
Randy's room was built from scratch by his father, Tim the Toolman.
8. Ferris Bueller's room ("Ferris Bueller's Day Off")
Ferris would never be able to skip school without all the cool tools and accessories he had in his room.
9. Theo's room ("The Cosby Show")
Who didn't want a messy room like the one our boy Theo had?
10. Dexter's room ("Dexter's Laboratory")
We're not sure how he was able to afford it, but Dexter had a super high-tech laboratory in his room.
11. Bert & Ernie's room ("Sesame Street")
Bert and Ernie's room is pretty basic. But something basic is the best.
12. Arnold ("Hey Arnold!")
Arnold was actually pretty poor (he and his grandparents lived in a boarding house). Yet, somehow, he had the coolest room in his hood. His room was basically a studio apartment, containing all the light anyone could need.
