The 2014 Emmy Awards host has been revealed and the winner is…

Comedian and late night TV host Seth Meyers. The Saturday Night Live alumnus shared the good news late Thursday evening. Meyers has some big shoes to fill. Last year, the popular award show was hosted by How I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris.

Mark your calendars, the 66th edition of the Emmys will air on August 25. We look forward to seeing what Seth brings to the stage!

BET has released their official upcoming show line-up and it is so damn good.

The Viacom network revealed which shows will be returning for another season and which new shows would be joining the cable network in the coming months during the BET Upfronts earlier this week.

Returning to the popular network for new seasons are Being Mary JaneReal Husbands of Hollywood, The Game and of course, 106 & Park.

BET also announced a few fresh new shows joining their line-up. Diggy Simmons will be making his acting debut in a scripted series titled The Start Up, while BET takes on the world of competition series, adding Gone Gospel to their roster, along with a brand new dating show called Got Game.

Big news for another Viacom-owned network.

Over a year after the tragic death of reality TV star Shain Gandee, MTV plans to bring back Buckwild.

The popular TV show followed several West Virginia teens as they partied, played, hooked up and occasionally even fought. Following Shain’s unexpected passing, fans believed the show had been canceled indefinitely, though producers said they had plans to go ahead with Season Two regardless.

Sources tell TMZ the show has finally resumed shooting, however the second season will feature a new cast in a new state. The site reports MTV has been shooting the show in Wasilla, Alaska for about a month now. However, Entertainment Weekly reports the show will be reformatted as Slednecks.

The Jem and the Holograms film finally has its cast.

Jem, the band’s lead, will be played by Nashville star Aubrey Peeples. Former Disney star Stefanie ScottPretty Little Liars actress Aurora Perrineau and The Fosters actress Hayley Kiyoko will round out the cast, playing the Holograms.

The film, which is based on a popular 1980s toy line and cartoon series, is being produced by Jason Blum with help from Scooter Braun Productions and Chu. According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming is already underway.
