Black Mamba delivers a message on behalf of his longtime friend Lil Wayne.

Tha Carter V season has begun.

Amid the controversy surrounding NBA Clippers owner Donald Sterling, Kobe Bryant took a break from weighing in on the disgusting allegations to help Lil Wayne promote the fifth installment of his Carter series.

There’s nothing extravagant about the artwork, and there’s still no confirmation that this is the official cover. We’re also wondering if Kobe Bryant, who has pursued a rap career in some capacity over the years, will appear on Lil Wayne’s alleged final album.

So many questions. Not a lot of answers.

Wayne’s album was scheduled to drop May 5, but will now be released at a later date.
