Things aren’t looking good for Apollo Nida.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta husband was arrested and charged with bank fraud and identity theft early this year, after authorities said he created companies with the intention of stealing their personal information to open bank accounts in their names.
Phaedra Parks‘ husband went to court yesterday and pled guilty to charges of mail, wire and bank fraud.
The reality TV star said he takes “full responsibility for my actions” and admitted, “it was a dumb situation I put myself in.”
According to Nida, he committed the fraud to “sustain a lifestyle.” Apollo reportedly felt pressure to make money because his wife was bringing in so much. He says he knew what he was doing was wrong, but couldn’t stop once he got started.
“I got sucked in and engulfed and lost sight of things,” he said.
This is not the first time Nida’s been involved in such a crime. In 2009, he was released from prison after serving out a five-year sentence for federal racketeering charges related to auto title fraud. Shortly after, he married Phaedra Parks and the couple signed on to be part of the Real Housewives franchise.
Unfortunately for Apollo, being apologetic doesn’t seem to be helping him out any. The reality TV hubby is facing 30 years behind bars.
He will find out his fate July 8th.
