Seven days. That’s how long it’s been since the finale of The Mindy Project aired. And that’s how long it took me to realize that Dr. Mindy Lahiri is me, and I am Dr. Mindy Lahiri–despite the fact that I’m not a super successful doctor.

Oh, and unlike Mindy, I’m actually in a super serious relationship. His name? Hulu…

OK, so yeah, I lied. But based on the amount of time I spend watching Hulu, well, we’re practically an item. Is that a weird thing to say? Probably. But it was Hulu who introduced me to Mindy Kaling’s The Mindy Project, which I binge-watched within a week (though I definitely could’ve watched it a lot faster had it not been for like, work and other responsibilities).

The good news is that it’s been renewed for a third season. The bad news is it won’t return to FOX until this fall, and now I’ve been left with nothing but time to reflect on why it’s just so great. If you’ve seen a single episode, you understand just how obsessed I am with it. Not only is Dr. L super stylish, she’s smart, witty and has to be one of the most relatable characters on television. You’d be far-fetched not to see a little bit of herself in you.

She just gets me….

…Because she, too, bows down to Queen Bey.

…Because sometimes she just gets tired of holding her tongue.

…Because she hates shaving her legs just as much as I do.

…Because she knows what really matters in life.

…Because she knows what she wants in a man.

…Because she knows home is where the heart comfort is.

…Because pizza.

…And Kanye.

…Because she’s got a keen taste in music.

…Because without wifi, she’s nothing.

…Because she’s compassionate. Super compassionate.

…And because this.

Preach, sister.
