Michael Sam is ready for the world to hear his story.

The first openly gay NFL player will star in a documentary on Oprah‘s OWN Network. The series will follow Sam’s attempt to earn a spot on the St. Louis Rams.

Oprah stated:

“I am proud of the focus on authentic storytelling in our new documentary series format. The next real-life story we follow in ‘The Untitled Michael Sam Project’ promises to spark valuable, important discussion on life in America today. Acceptance and illumination start here.

Though the show has no premiere date as of yet, it has begun filming. Stay tuned.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy is finally speaking out about allegedly firing Naya Rivera from the show because of her beef with Lea Michele.

In a chat with Extra, Murphy revealed that both of the girls will return for the show’s final season:

“I always marvel at the things that become headline news that most of the time are completely fabricated. I don’t think there is a story between Naya and Lea. Naya’s coming back next year, Lea’s coming back next year – anybody ever in that cast has an open invitation to come back and finish the character they so beautifully started.”

Gleeks everywhere can finally exhale!

Production of the upcoming Nina Simone biopic has come to a screeching halt.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film’s director Cynthia Mort is taking legal action after being cut out of decision-making on a biopic about legendary jazz singer Nina Simone that she spent years trying to develop.

Mort’s loan-out company filed a lawsuit in L.A. Superior Court earlier this week, alleging that Ealing Studios Enterprises Limited, the U.K. producer behind Nina, has breached the terms of her director deal.

The lawsuit states:

“She worked tirelessly to prepare the Film for a wide and successful commercial release. Yet, throughout the course of the Film’s production and post-production, Defendants consistently acted to frustrate Mort’s involvement in the Film, thereby breaching the Director Agreement. These breaches by the Defendants include, but are not limited to: taking complete control of editing the Film in June 2013 and failing to consult with Mort about subsequent cuts and changes; abandoning Mort’s previous cuts of the Film; failing to disclose the Film’s financials, finishing budget, and financing deals; and failing to keep Mort informed of other crucial creative and budgetary developments and decisions throughout production and post-production of the Film.”

The defendants have yet to respond.

The Transformers: Age Of Extinction trailer has finally been released. This is the fourth film in director Michael Bay‘s global blockbuster franchise. The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci. Take a first look above.

Congratulations are in order for Emma Watson.

The 24-year-old British actress is due to graduate this month from Brown University with a degree in English literature. Watson began attending the Ivy back in 2009.

A Brown spokesman says Watson is to attend the graduation ceremony on May 25.
