Baby mama drama is something that a lot of celebrities seem to deal with, whether the trouble comes from money, jump-offs, or time away from home. Take 50 Cent for example.

Recent rumors have spread about 50 not showing up to his first-born Marquise Jackson’s high school graduation. Marquise allegedly created an Instagram post shortly after his ceremony, taking shots at his dad:

“Yea I broke down , I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation today but he never showed up smh. My sister and mama is always there for me just know that you wasn’t. I did it without you.”

Whether this is true or not, 50 Cent is catching a lot of heat from fans and naysayers. One thing that’s for certain though? The rapper and his baby mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, have been going through it for quite some time.

Sources say Tompkins wants to reveal to media that 50 Cent hasn’t attempted to maintain a relationship with his son. This has received a lot of raised eyebrows at Tompkins’ true intentions – because many others disagree.

“Shaniqua clearly doesn’t have her son’s best interest in mind to drag lies into the media, her main focus is always how anything will affect her son’s potential inheritance,” a source said.

With all the uproar about missing his son’s recent graduation, 50 Cent shot back on Instagram with this:

I don’t know why you Hate me. I love you, for doing just what I thought you would do. NOTHING

Yikes! Sounds like a huge baby mama drama headache going on. In tribute to 50 Cent and all those other fathers out there trying to deal with family issues, here are 10 ways to get along with your baby mother:

1. Listen: It’s the only way to resolve any problem that may occur.

2. Take Care of Your Responsibilities: Before you buy Jordans, an Xbox or make it rain, make sure your kid has everything he or she needs to live a safe and happy life.

3. Move On: If you’re still trying to have your cake and eat it too, it’s the perfect storm for baby mama drama.

4. Respect Her Space: You can’t be in your baby mama’s personal life and expect her to not get upset when you move on.

5. The Child Comes First: The child comes before everything – at least for the next 18 years.

6. Be On Time: if you say you’re going to pick up your child at a certain time, be there at that time.

7. Child Support: Child support is more than money, it’s reading to the child, being at the child’s game, taking the child to doctor visits, and just being there.

8. Check Your Boo: If you’re in a relationship, make it clear that she is not the child’s mother, and she should know her role.

9. Communication is Key: Listening is a key part of communication, but you should also know how to communicate with the mother of your child in a way so that neither she, nor the child, feels disrespected. If you’re angry and/or frustrated, take a little while to cool off and get your thoughts together before saying something you may regret in the future.

10. Never Give Up: Now as we know, mothers sometimes may be spiteful and try to keep the child away from you for personal reasons. Don’t let this discourage you. You should (in most cases) have the right to be in your child’s life. Be the best dad you can be. Your child deserves it.
