Most things that Nicki Minaj does in music is newsworthy. It was no different this week when “Pills and Potions,” her latest single hit the streets. The Dr. Luke produced track sounds different from from her other recent tracks she put out, like “Yasss Bish” and “Chi-Raq.” It definitely has the smell of a hit record. “P & P” continues to illustrate Nicki’s diversity in music and her importance to the hip-hop game, and it gives Dr Luke another check outside of Katy Perry.
On tour last year with the homie Ab-Soul, it was apparent he was a superstar in the making. As an artist he’s an incredible showman during his live shows. As an MC he’s one of the nicest on a crowded terrain of sucker non-rapping single selling artists all saying the same shit. His latest track “Stigmata” provides an example, if your not familiar. It features fellow wordsmiths Action Bronson and Assad.

The amount of dope music hitting the streets this memorial day weekend is a great indicator of what’s to come this summer. Rocko’s latest joint “Good” which features Lil Wayne is going to be one of those raunchy club bangers you’ll surely remember. I’m sure the remix to this will be more star studded than Weezy’s grill.

Hot new music from Sebastian Mikael leaked this week featuring the boss Ricky Rozay. This cool summertime uptempo track, “4 U,” is guaranteed to keep the clubs jumping from South Beach to Hollywood. On the low though, it has the potential to be a hit for Slip N’ Slide if they push it right. We’ll see…

New music from Queens’ own Cormega hit the blogs this week. His latest joint “Industry” is a real look into this music game that many want to get some success out of. Mega’s wisdom and fresh lyrics is backed by a head noddin’ Large Professor beat. Cormega’slatest album Mega Philosophy is out and it’s a must have for fans of positive hip-hop music.
