A Cincinnati woman is taking legal action against an Ohio hospital for leaking her STD status on a Facebook bullying page.

The woman is now suing the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for posting her medical records to a Facebook group called “Team No Hoes.” The two employees allegedly responsible also called the victim a “slut” and a “hoe.”

“She doesn’t want to go out,” said her attorney Mike Allen. “She doesn’t want to talk to people. People who were formerly her friends have made fun of her for it. She’s chastised in the community and all of this could’ve been avoided if UC Med Center had proper protections in place,” Allen said.

In the lawsuit, Allen is asking UC Medical Center to look at its procedures to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again.

The woman is suing the hospital for $25,000. In her court documents, she names the employees and her ex-boyfriend, Raphael Bradley, who she believes convinced the employees to leak her medical records.

“She was absolutely devastated. That is the most private of private medical information that was posted on Facebook and went out to a group on Facebook that had a huge dissemination,” Allen said. “To have that kind of information in the public domain when it is clearly legally to be protected, that’s a problem and that’s a problem that UC’s responsible for,” Allen said.

It is unknown if the employees were fired from the hospital.
