On the cover of InStyle Magazine’s July issue is a bikini-clad Kate Hudson, who isn’t afraid to tell Hollywood haters like it is.

“The negativity is just so vast,” she says in her cover story. “Will everybody stop being so damned judgmental?”

The cover girl compares asking someone if they have gotten work done to asking someone if they see a therapist. And, Kate, who finds the hype around people’s decisions to succumb to plastic surgery to be particularly annoying, is totally for butt augmentation, by the way.

“If someone wants to go get butt implants, then sure, go get butt implants. The real question is, How do they treat the person next to them? Are they a-holes or are they awesome?”

Kate also opened up about ex-boyfriends Alexander Rodriguez and Lance Armstrong‘s doping scandals.

“I was as shocked as anyone. But I personally think that you make the choices you make and you should reap the consequences,” Hudson shares. “People have a right to [feel betrayed]. Lance and Alex are phenomenal athletes who have made some bad choices and let a lot of people down. It’s a decision they made for themselves and they’ve got to loathe it.”

Kate gave credit to her mother, actress Goldie Hawn, for setting the perfect example of how to live a normal life despite all of the attention and spotlight.

“My mom was a trailblazer. She was one of the first women after Katharine Hepburn to produce her own films,” Hudson says. “She had this extremely feminine public image, but behind the scenes there was a real, persevering strength—wanting to get things done, fighting for what she believed in, and being successful with it.”
