President Barack Obama has decided not to send U.S. troops back into combat in Iraq after news broke yesterday that Baghdad was scrambling to protect itself from insurgents.

According to the Daily Mail, although Obama isn’t sending soldiers back into combat, he will be reviewing military options with his national security team.

In a statement given on the White House South lawn, it was revealed that POTUS will be “reviewing options in the days ahead,” as Al-Qaeda “poses a danger to Iraq and its people.” Obama continued… “and given the nature of these terrorists, it could pose a threat to America and its interests as well.”

Deputy Press Secretary Joshua Earnest assures Americans that the reported miltary options, “do not include … putting combat boots on the ground in Iraq.”

The site also reports that former President George W. Bush, who originally sent U.S. troops into combat in Iraq when during his time in office, is holding his tongue on the matter.

Meanwhile, Obama has just arrived in Palm Springs with First Lady Michelle Obama, who nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction while getting off of the plane!

As the two were walking down the aircraft’s steps, a gust of wind blew up FLOTUS’ dress, nearly exposing her but luckily she was able to hold her sophisticated ensemble down.

She played off the incident with a laugh, as both her and the President were all smiles walking arm in arm into the sunny city.
