Russell Simmons has been one of the hardest working men in the hip-hop community for nearly 30 years, so to say he’s been quite successful throughout his life is an obvious understatement.
Def Jam’s co-founder recently appeared on Oprah‘s Super Soul Sunday where he sat down with the famous talk show host and share priceless information about being successful.
As far as what inspires Uncle Rush? That would be his daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Lee, who he says taught him “purpose” in life.
He also talks to Oprah about her importance to the world, where he tells her:
“If God were the ocean, you’d be a cup of God.”
Of course, Russell also talked about his start with yoga and how he originally began classes for the women, not realizing it would eventually turn into much more.
