We always knew Zendaya was one in a million.
The Disney diva’s got more style sense in her pinky finger than most middle-aged adults have in their whole bodies and a wardrobe that’s wise beyond her years, and now, at only 17, she’s taking on an all new role, which could very well be the biggest one of her life.
It was announced yesterday that the most stylish teen on the scene has been cast to play Aaliyah in an upcoming Lifetime biopic, tentatively titled Aaliyah: Princess of R&B. We don’t have any other deets just yet, but if the picture that her stylist Luxury Law posted following the announcement is any indication of what we can expect, it’s pretty clear that Z is that somebody. We definitely did a double-take.
Earlier that day, she was spotted out and about in New York City and dressed to impressed per her usual. The temperatures might be rising, but Zendaya kept her cool in an oversized slouchy sweater dress designed by Alexia Ulibarri.
