Ed Sheeran is on fire! (No, we’re not talking about his bright red hair.)

The latest link in the chain of singles he’s been dropping all week is the sweet and slow “Thinking Out Loud.” With the release date of his second studio album, x, drawing near, Sheeran has kept the public’s attention by relentlessly releasing a steady stream of songs expected to be on the album.

Along with “Thinking Out Loud,” the two previous singles to come out– the Pharrell-assisted “Sing,” and the Rick Rubin-produced “Bloodstream” – reveal the British songwriter is sticking with his signature acoustic pop sound. Simple and lovable music from a simple and lovable guy, as evident from his interview/in-studio performance with WiLD 94.9, in which he performs an acoustic cover of Ty Dolla $ign‘s “Paranoid.”

Until (multiply) drops on June 23rd or he releases yet another song, let “Thinking Out Loud” (above) and his hilarious antics (below) hold you over.
