She’s ready for war.
Jhene Aiko releases a snippet of her forthcoming new single “To Love And Die.” The Cocaine 80s-produced number is sonically similar to multiple tracks off her Sail Out EP, leading us to believe that the “Bed Peace” singer will maintain the vibe she created for her EP and continue the same sound on her debut album.
“I’m rooted, I’ve been here by Cupid, I’m being recruited/ I’m ready for more, I’m ready for war/hold your position, load up ammunition…” sings Jhene before the snippet fades out.
With the success of her November 2013 EP Sail Out, Jhene’s been readying her Def Jam debut Souled Out, which is slated to drop later on this year.
