Forget Katy Perry‘s “I Kissed a Girl”– Keyshia Cole‘s “She” is the new ladies’ anthem for sexual liberation.
The veteran West Coast singer’s new DJ Mustard-produced single is exploding with sensual energy and innuendo. But unlike her previous love songs in which she usually sings to a male counterpart, Cole is now directing her advances towards another woman. According to the lyrics, she’s “down to try something different.”
The song garnered buzz before it was even released, after some of the lyrics were revealed following the news that Cole will file for divorce from ex-NBA star Daniel “Boobie” Gibson. Coincidence?
Keyshia will release her sixth studio album, Point of No Return, in early 2015. The album is set to include some big name features, such as R. Kelly, 2 Chainz, Future, MikeWillMadeIt, and more. The singer is also going on tour to promote the album, kicking off in Rochester, New York on July 12.
