Maroon 5 put on an awesome show at the Amex Everyday Live Concert at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom this weekend. The concert was part of the American Express “Epic EveryDay Giveaway” and also recorded for a global livestream audience. The exclusive event brought together a very diverse crowd, all of whom had a strong passion for the band’s performance and sing-along lyrics.
“This is the brightest rock and roll concert I’ve ever done…But I can see all of your happy faces,” lead vocalist, and according to People Magazine, the “Sexiest Man Alive,” Adam Levine started off. And from then on, there was nothing but high energy from the crowd. Maroon 5 covered many of their songs, new and old, including singles like “This Love” and “Sunday Morning” from their multi-platinum album Songs About Jane, to newer hits like “Maps” from the band’s upcoming album V, due in September.
Adam Levine’s voice proved to be just as good on the track as it is in person, as he moved from high pitches to soft, sweet tones. Other members, James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, PJ Morton and Matt Flynn, supported Adam’s vocals beautifully with the bass, drums, guitar, and keyboards for a perfect live set.
At the end of the show, the band came back for an encore to perform classic favorites like “She Will Be Loved,” which got the crowd feeling nostalgic. Check out the full set-list below.
