For the short set, she performed her EP hit “Babylon,” accompanied by some smoky instrumentation from a live band, and topped off with Lamar’s intense and precise guest verse. The reciprocal energy between the two TDE-signees is truly a sight and sound to behold.
Next, Mac Miller joined the stage to perform “U R,” complementing SZA’s beautiful singing with what had to be the best guitar solo ever played by any rapper (sorry not sorry, Weezy). All in all, SZA’s unique energy shines through in her live performance even more clearly than on record.
