The NYPD is currently investigating the death of 59-year-old Milton Ortiz, who was found gagged with both his feet and hands bound in his Harlem apartment this past Thursday. When the body was found, there were no signs of a struggle or forced entry. Ortiz had a medical condition that required a medical aide to visit him in his home. A 60-year-old woman has been arrested for spraying a dangerous weed killer into the eyes of a seven-year-old. Police say that the woman has been involved in several “neighborhood disputes” in her California condominium complex. Julie Rodenhuis has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery with a serious injury, and child endangerment. [Daily Mail]

A family of four has been found dead in what appears to be a “murder-suicide” in Central California. Police say the victims, a 78-year-old man, his 69-year-old wife, and their two adult sons, aged 39 and 42, had been dead for at least 24 hours. Investigators wore masks due to a potent gas smell in the home. One of the couple’s adult sons was disabled. [Modesto Bee]
