A group of young girls viciously attacked an innocent woman sitting on a bench in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. The incident, which occurred during the daytime, is currently being investigated by the NYPD. Nine people were injured in a shooting early this morning on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. Police state that the shooting occurred at 2:45 a.m in the French Quarter. Seven people have been listed in stable condition and one person, a woman, was listed in critical condition. An eyewitness told police: “He seemed pissed off at some dude, pulled the gun out and started shooting at the guy then turned around on the crowd and started shooting at us.” [Gawker]
A Southern Right Whale was recently “harassed” by surfers on Freshwater Beach, off the coast of Sydney, Australia. The surfers have been warned after being seen within meters of the large animal. The surfers were told to back off via Freshwater Surf Life Saving Life loudspeaker. One witness recalled: “To be honest they were harassing it a bit. They were so close and it had no room to move,” said Mr Hansen, estimating they were as close as two metres. “If I was the fish I’d be harassed too. Police in Florida are looking for a man suspected of driving a vehicle involved in a fiery hit-and-run crashthat killed 3 women in the Tampa Bay Area. Authorities say that Marquice Lamonz Anderson was driving a Chrysler the wrong way early Thursday morning when it crashed into a Saturn vehicle with the three women inside, leaving 2 women burning in the car. The third woman was pronounced dead in a nearby hospital. [ABC News]
Two Ryanair planes collided in the London Stansted Airport’s parking lot early Saturday morning. Pictures taken by passengers at the scene shows severe damage at the wing tip of one of the planes.
