If you loved Bruno Mars before, this will make you love him even more.

The pop star recently sang his hit song “Just the Way You Are” to Zumyah Thorpe, an 11-year-old who suffered a traumatic head injury in a car accident last March.

Zumyah’s world was turned upside down after losing both her mother and two younger sisters when a pick up truck slammed into their Volkswagen Jetta. Her severe head injuries caused swelling to the brain, and even required surgeons to remove part of her skull.

The accident left the young girl with significant impairments in her motor and language skills, but that couldn’t stop her from singing some of her favorite Bruno Mars tunes. Seeing how powerfully Zumyah responded to Mars’ music, doctors “prescribed” a daily dose of the megastar’s hits and now credit the tunes with the girl’s continued recuperation.

Mars arranged a private meeting with the girl and her family, performing four songs and gifting Zumyah a teddy bear. Zumyah also attended Mars’ Cleveland concert Saturday night, where Mars serenaded her with “Just the Way You Are.”

She even got a couple flicks with her favorite singer for Instagram:

If you haven’t cracked a smile today, we’re sure Mars’ serenade to Zumyah can help do just that with the video above. Go ahead, we promise it won’t disappoint.
