On Monday, a Florida judge dismissed the defamation claim filed against NBC by George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman’s lawsuit stated that NBC’s editing of the story covering the shooting of Martin made it sound as if he had voluntarily told an operator that Martin was black. Stop spreading your measles! A study has found that vaccine side effects, including autism, are very rare. The findings come at a time when many cases of vaccine-preventable diseases are reappearing in communities with low vaccination rates. Despite the analysis, at least 539 people across the country have been infected with measles this year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Read more here…[USAToday]

In Arizona, kindergarten student Eric Lopez pulled down his pants at Ashton Ranch Elementary School after being threatened by another student. Reports say the student told Eric that if he did not pull down his own pants, he would do it for him.
