Entertainment journalist Simone “Boss Lady” Amelia visited the Drake-hosted 22nd annual ESPY Awards in Los Angeles and spoke to several athletes on the red carpet about their pre-game rituals, getting some very interesting answers from some of the sports stars in attendance.

Boss Lady recommended that Demarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings name his biography after his pre-game essentials: peanut-butter, jelly, and prayer. She also laughed in good humor with American Bladerunner Blake Leeper about securing that his legs will “stay on” during a race, and predicted Mychal Kendricks of the Philadelphia Eagles would receive an apple juice sponsor after he revealed his preferred pre-game beverage. Amelia also suffered a minor (and pretty funny) injury while talking to Metta World Peace of the New York Knicks.

She later asked some of the athletes about their pre-game hype-up music preferences. Among the more interesting answers was Marcedes Lewis of the Jacksonville Jaguars saying that he listens to Avicii, Tiesto, and Calvin Harris to get pumped before a game (he apparently left his glow-sticks at home). Antonio Cromartie of the Arizona Cardinals listed fellow Southerner Lil Boosie as his favorite.
