Looks like Lil Wayne is taking the Hov approach.

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne is starting up his own sports agency and plans to make soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo his first signee.

Our sources tell us … Weezy has been wanting to get into the sports management game for a while and has had his sights set on the Team Portugal stud … not just because he’s a huge sports star, but because they’re friends.

We’re told Weezy’s company will be working with PolarisSports — which is affiliated with the CAA agency and GestiFute — through which Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes operates.

Our sources tell us Wayne’s company will handle Ronaldo’s sports management affairs in the United States — everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals. Even modeling.

Excited about his new deal, Cristiano made the Prime Minister of Japan and other Japanese politicians throw up the YMCMB sign during a recent meet-and-greet. The “Believe Me” rapper tweeted about it, saying;

Back in 2013, Jay Z made the huge announcement that he was teaming up with CAA to start up his sports agency Roc Nation Sports. So far, Jay Z has signed Victor Cruz, Skylar Diggins, Kevin Durant, and CC Sabathia.
