This past weekend, Russell Simmons hit the red carpet for his Art For Life Gala. The RUSH Philanthropic Foundation celebrated its 15th annual gala by welcoming a list of supporters and friends who have been recognized for their efforts to better the community. They all came together for one night to honor members of the New York youth and other individuals who have been particularly successful this year.

The boss man welcomed many friends and supporters to the fundraising event including, Rev. Al Sharpton and Aisha McShaw. The two were looking very sharp and dressed to impress, he in a grid suit, and, she, in a black and white jumpsuit.

Soledad O’Brien also attended the gala. The journalist, who is well-known for her philanthropic work in race relations attended the event in a long sleeve, black gown, paired with a belt and a layered necklace.

Entertainers and television personalities also came through to show support. Among them, Rick Ross joined the carpet, looking slim in a satin shirt and sunglasses.

The legendary beat-boxer, Doug E. Fresh came through to support the foundation’s cause in all black under a grey, denim shirt.

Television personality and honorary chair at the gala, Star Jones, attended the event in elegance, wearing a halter gown that faded into grey at the bottom.

And while the event was running with A-list celebrities and philanthropists, it wouldn’t be an event if family didn’t show support as well. Russell’s family joined him on the big evening, dressed to impress. Aoki and Ming Lee rocked the event in two beautifully, colorful gowns.

Angela Simmons also put her big moves in fashion and entertainment aside for the night to show support. She looked flawless in a peach mini dress with silver heels.

JoJo Simmons joined his sister, in a pair of Ray Bans and a checkered, pink shirt.
