Last night, the NBA held a scrimmage game for Team USA in Las Vegas, and what was supposed to be a warm-up for the upcoming season turned into a night of disaster for Paul George and his team.

The Indiana Pacers star was in the process of trying to block James Harden as he went in for a layup, but came down too hard on his right leg, and completely snapped his lower leg.

The video footage is pretty horrific, showing Paul’s leg bending in half just above the ankle. The tragic injury ended the scrimmage and according to reports, he could be out between 9-12 months due to the injury.

Paul responded to all of the support fans showed him, and tweeted:

The director of USA Basketball, Jerry Colangelo, had this to say:

“We don’t really know, exactly (the extent of the injury). Everyone saw what we saw, but that’s for the medical team to decide, determine and then make the announcement about what it is and what’s going to take place.”

Watch the insane footage above. Our prayers go out to Paul George, and his team and family.
