The NYPD has released gruesome footage from a music video shoot turned deadly in the Bronx.
Early Saturday morning, members of a local rap duo got into an altercation at a Bronx bodega where they were shooting a music video. The disturbing footage shows one man opening fire on another, shooting him five times, and then repeatedly pistol-whipping the victim.
The bodega’s owner told the New York Daily News that the argument was over who the video’s star was.
“They were fighting over who’s the star, who’s better,” said owner Ali Abdul. “They were drunk. They spit at each other then one guy pulled out a gun and shot the other guy five times.”
The gunman, who managed not to let go of his drink during the shooting, wounded the victim in the head, chest, and legs before fleeing. Several witnesses can also be seen casually stepping over the body before following the suspect out of the bodega.
While the shooter remains at large, the victim is in critical condition at Lincoln Hospital, but is expected to survive.
