In today’s edition of “Stories From Florida” we have a man who beat up his girlfriend after dreaming that she cheated on him and a woman who thought it was a good idea to steal her cellmate’s debit card to bail herself out of jail.

Fever Dream
A Florida Keys resident let his insecurities get the best of him and was arrested after beating up his girlfriend. Carlos Gascon, who claims he had a dream about his girlfriend cheating on him, allegedly poured hot coffee over her, stabbed her in the leg and slammed her onto their glass table. His girlfriend claims that she was attacked all day on Friday. Gascon was charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault, domestic battery by strangulation, battery, false imprisonment and animal cruelty. The animal cruelty charge? Jailhouse Rock
Crystal Stephens, 25 is facing grand theft charges for stealing her cellmate’s debit card information to bail herself out of jail. The Naples resident admitted to stealing her card information to buy a plane ticket as well.
Stephens told deputies she stole a piece of paper belonging to her cell mate. On that piece of paper was her cell mate’s debit card number and expiration date.
Stephens then used that information to call a bail bondsman and bailed herself out of jail.
According to the report, Stephens also used the card number to buy a plane ticket. In all, she charged more than $1,700 to the card.
