If the idea alone of processed chicken nuggets isn’t enough to make your stomach turn, we’re sure this might do just the trick.

A Georgia firm is recalling more than 15,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets after getting several complaints that the nuggets contained pieces of plastic – a secret ingredient no one wants to find in their frozen TV dinner.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the fully cooked nugget product from the Perdue factory in Gainesville may be contaminated with extraneous materials. The company is recalling all 8 oz. boxes of Applegate naturals chicken nuggets with the establishment number “P2617″ and a best before date of “02/05/15.”

The company withdrew the nuggets on August 8th, but still fear customers might have the product in their freezers. There have been no reports of injury or illness as a result of consuming the product — just grossed-out consumers.

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service officials say they conduct recall checks routinely to verify that organizations are notifying their customers of the recall, and that they are taking the proper steps to make sure the product is no longer available for purchase.
