America rears its ugly head…again.

A GoFundMe page to support officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot unarmed teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, has raised over $200,000 — and is growing by the minute. The page was set up Aug. 17th to help “officer Wilson and his family during this trying time.”

But of course, comments like these make you question the real motive behind these generous donations from people who want to “help” officer Wilson.

An update posted to the GoFundMe page on Thursday acknowledged the growing support for this campaign.

“We have raised our goal for the third time! The generosity of everyone is truly amazing. We want to thank each and every one of you who are standing behind Darren during this time. The positive messages, prayers and donations are truly heartwarming. We cannot put into words how thankful we are.”

People across the country have also lit their porch lights blue to signify their solidarity with officer Darren Wilson. According to the GoFundMe page, all of the money raised will go directly to Wilson and his family for their financial needs and legal fees.
