Rapper Jeezy was arrested on Sunday on possession charges following a shooting at Wiz Khalifa’s “Under The Influence of Music” California concert that killed a 38-year-old concert promoter.

Jeezy, real name Jay Jenkins, was arrested along with five others at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine. All six people were “cooperative” in the arrest on Sunday, according to Lt. Saul Jaeger of the Mountain View Police Department.

Police obtained warrants for the tour two days after Eric Johnson was shot five times backstage.

Authorities first got calls about gunshots at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Northern California, shortly after 11 p.m. Friday, the Mountain View Police Department said. Police arrived to find a 38-year-old man shot multiple times. The man was transported to a hospital and died from his injuries, according to police.

Mountain View investigators found the weapon on a tour bus after a search warrant had been authorized.

It is not immediately clear if the shooting and Jeezy’s arrest are linked, but Jaeger confirmed that no arrests have been made in Johnson’s death.

“This is still a very, very active investigation,” Jaeger said. “Stay tuned, there is more to come.”

A judge set Jeezy’s bail at $1 million. We’ll keep you updated with the latest.
