So this happened.

Fed-up with white gentrifiers occupying their Flatbush neighborhood, two women held three Brooklyn tenants at gunpoint and forced them out of their apartment.

The women, 30-year-old Precious Parker and 23-year-old Sabrina James, also robbed the three tenants of $800 and an iPhone in a crime that law enforcement officials say was motivated by race and class resentment.

From the NY Daily Mail:

Parker and James knocked on the door of an apartment building on Ocean Ave. near Newkirk Ave. in Flatbush at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday and held a 34-year-old man, a 37-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman at gunpoint demanding they move out or be killed, police said.

The terrified residents left soon after, said a night porter, who declined to give his name.

“They just left,” he said. “They said somebody wants to kill them.”

The usurpers then squatted in the apartment, a law enforcement source said.

Police say one of the women said she didn’t like “that white people were moving into the area,” as reason for the crime. Both Parker and James were arrested and charged with robbery and unlawful imprisonment.

Note that there are better ways to express frustrations that arrive when gentrification sweeps inner cities and uproots residents. Guns, however, are probably not one of those ways.
