For the past 3 years, Ne-Yo has thrown his annual Fostering a Legacy Benefit ceremony in New York City, which seeks to create opportunities for youth in foster care. This year’s fundraiser was held at the luxurious Gotham Hall, where Event-Chair Marc Leder kicked off the festivities by introducing the hosts for the evening: Ne-Yo and SNL funnyman Jay Pharoah.

Jay and Shaffer took the stage to recognize the diligent contributions of Walgreen’s Chief Diversity Officer, Steve Pemberton, and GRAMMY ® U Executive Director Jodie Blum, while the Corporate Commitment Award was presented to Porsche Cars North America, accepted by Head of Lifestyle & PR, Cristina Cheever.

After the awards were dished out, the fundraising started by one guy standing on a chair and donating $50,000! It didn’t stop there, with donations pouring in from $5,000 to $40,000. One guy even donated an extra $20K just to take a shot with Ne-Yo.

Once all the money was in, Jay Pharoah told some jokes, Trey Songz and Ne-Yo both rocked the crowd, and after the show, the 350 VIP guests all mingled and partied.

We bumped into Mila J, Kevin Liles, Romeo from Immature, and many more.

Congrats to Ne-Yo on a great party for a great cause.
