With news of Big Sean‘s new Roc Nation management deal, MissInfo got all the exclusive details about the Detroit rapper’s new team, his new album, Kanye West, and watching the Ferguson protests with the G.O.O.D Music team down in Mexico.

The interview piqued our interest though, when Sean mentioned how he and Kanye watched and were inspired by the Ferguson protests in Missouri.

“I rap about it on “4th Quarter” — about how we was in Mexico, about how we saw Ferguson. I was with [Kanye]. Me and Ye were looking at the footage of the riots in St. Louis,” says Big Sean. “We just sat there and stopped — we were blown away. Our hearts go out. It was really sad, but it was good to see people not accept it.”

In regards to Sean’s new album, the “Face Down” rapper maintains he’s not playing around on this new project.

“The feel is “going for blood.” It’s like “I’m not f*cking around,” This is that Detroit snappin’ off on ‘em. At the same time I still like to do concepts. I’m conceptful, and we just applied all of that. I think we just wanted to give them that vibe. That’s where it is for me now in rap.”
