The bossman is at it again.

Earlier this week, Russell Simmons hosted an enormous party to benefit the Foundation For Ethnic Understanding’s 25th Anniversary. Simmons invited all of his celebrity friends to the event, which was held at his home, to learn more about the foundation and the amazing work that they do.

The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding is a New York-based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting racial peace, as well as strengthening inter-race relations. At present, FFEU’s focus is on strengthening both Muslim-Jewish relations and Black-Jewish relations.

During the event, several Los Angeles civic and philanthropic leaders who support these missions were honored. International businessman and noted philanthropist Ron Burkle was the guest of honor and received the International Humanitarian Award. Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, delivered a heartfelt speech about Ron and all the work he’s done. The foundation also honored H.E.Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the prince of Bahrain; Bana Hilal, a well known community activist; and Quintin E. Primo III, the chairman and CEO of Capri Capital Partners.

Also in attendance were Flea, Avril Lavigne, Clarence Avant, H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bana Hilal, Quintin E. Primo III, Anthony Kiedis, Freddie Wexler, and a whole host of L.A. entertainment and business people.

The evening was sponsored by the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation, Applied Medical, Phael De Niro, Adam Goodman, and many more generous brands and individuals.
