Ah Ah Ah!

Common surprised his hometown fans by bringing out his longtime friend Kanye West at Chicago’s new AAHH! Fest.

Initially, Kanye was only slated to perform three songs, but of course Yeezy had to put on for his city. Kanye ended up performing quite a medley including, “New Slaves,” “Good Life,” “Mercy,” “Jesus Walks,” “I Don’t Like,” “Power,” “Gold Digger,” “Homecoming,” and more.

The inaugural festival featured performances by Common, Lupe Fiasco, De La Soul, Jay Electronica, Lil Herb, Jennifer Hudson, and was hosted by hardcore hip-hop fan and comedian Dave Chappelle.

Common also performed his “Kingdom (Remix)” featuring Jay Electronica and Vince Staples. Common also performed the thought-provoking cut at this year’s 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which was filmed in Atlanta over the weekend.

All the proceeds from the festival will go to help fund art education in Chicago public schools, Donda’s House, and the Common Ground Foundation.
