Columbus Short has had quite the year in 2014.

Most recently, the former Scandal star opened up about his character Harrison’s death on the show, his portrayal in the media by TMZ, and his thoughts on Ray Rice.

He tweeted about his Scandal funeral:

He also talked to Dish Nation about the media, particularly TMZ:

“My character has been assassinated, unjustly. I feel like, Harvey Levin got the proverbial hard-on for me or something because he was attacking me for no reason. What I found out, you know how it goes, these stories get money… TMZ is making all that money, but it’s blood money to me. I really believe it, because you’re destroying people’s families.”

Speaking on Ray Rice:

“My first Instagram I said, I stand by Ray Rice. I said what he did was absolutely wrong. However, what TMZ… the point is TMZ. I have a lot against TMZ. We are fallible. Men, we are fallible creatures, mankind. And I think everybody deserves a second chance, everybody deserves a chance to get it right.”

It sure was hard to watch Harrison go…

Another Hollywood marriage is biting the dust, as Randy Jackson‘s wife has filed for divorce.

The wife of the former American Idol judge has filed to end their 18-year-long marriage, and wants full physical and joint legal custody of their 17-year-old son Jordan.

According to TMZ, Erika Jackson is asking for spousal support, and for her legal fees to be paid for. We certainly didn’t see this one coming.

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo breaking up definitely shocked most of us, and now we’re finally getting a couple of our questions answered as far as their split goes.

Despite rumors of infidelity on Jason’s side of things, he sent out a personal statement on their relationship and denied any cheating:

He wrote:

“Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment. I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part. Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives.”

Meanwhile, Jordin recently responded to the split subliminally on her Twitter when she tweeted:

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

Maybe there is still room for these two to get back together? We think so.

An author from New Jersey is claiming that the movie Frozen was based on her life, and is suing Disney for stealing an idea from her books.

Isabella Tanikumi is suing the company because she believes they infringed upon the copyright of her books Living My Truth and Yearning of the Heart by taking the “characters, plots, and storyline.”

According to Inside Movies, the site reports:

In the suit, filed on Sept. 21, Tanikumi offers 18 instances of similar material, including details on the village, the sisters, the older sister accidentally hurting the younger sister, the younger sister losing her memory, and even two male characters that Tanikumi had named Hans and Christoff. In the film, the male characters are Hans and Kristoff. And in another example, Tanikumi cites “hands to the sky with sprinkles,” comparing her book cover to the film’s DVD cover.

Frozen was a great movie; it would be so sad if it was stolen.

One of the stars of Pitch Perfect, Alexis Knapp, recently had her condo set on fire, and it was all started from a candle.

According to TMZ, the actress left her house this week while a candle was still flaming, and it ignited a fire in her condo that engulfed the whole building.

The site reports:

It took 75 firefighters, 30 fire trucks and 3 separate agencies to knock down the blaze.  The damage is so extensive the building is now red tagged

A firefighter was injured … which could be a problem for Alexis.

But there’s good news … a couple of cats were rescued.

We’re glad she wasn’t hurt, but she’s got to be more careful.
