Colorado recently approved a $5 million incentive package created to lure Quentin Tarantino and his crew into filming his new movie Hateful Eight there.

The package was approved late last week by the Economic Development Commission. According to the Denver Post, Colorado beat out Utah and Wyoming. The film is likely shooting on a 900-acre ranch near Telluride, a town popular for skiing and other snow activities. Permits for this location are still pending.

The film has been budgeted at $44 million, making it the most significant production in Colorado since True Grit.

Denzel Washington won big at the box office this weekend.

His latest film, The Equalizer, brought in a whopping $35 million upon opening.

“We’re really, really happy, but we were very bullish on the movie,” says Sony’s President of Worldwide Distribution, Rory Bruer. “It’s a film that we all love and it just delivers in a big way. Denzel couldn’t be more terrific in the role – you can’t take your eyes off this guy.”

The film’s success is director Antoine Fuqua’s best opening to date and Washington’s third best.

Denver-based reporter Chris Parente was definitely kicking himself after his recent interview with Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader went viral.

The trio sat down to discuss Wiig and Hader’s latest film, The Skeleton Twins. Things were going smoothly until Parente launched into a seemingly random question about doing the news in the nude, eluding to Wiig’s nude scene in the film – which doesn’t exist. The reporter continued to insist that not only was Wiig nude in the film, but won the lottery.

It seems Parente mixed up Wiig’s latest role with one from her past, a film called Welcome to Me. The two actors began ripping on the reporter for not seeing the movie beforehand. Fortunately, they remained in good spirits.

Former NBA player Doug Christie was less than thrilled when his wife, Jackie Christie, leaked a topless photo of herself earlier this year.

The athlete-turned-reality-star was reportedly so mad about the photos that he nearly called off the marriage. The Basketball Wives: LA star recently told TMZ she was responsible for the photos hitting the web in June, but maintains that it was completely accidental.

Still, Doug wasn’t amused. Jackie told TMZ cameras, “he almost left me.”

Check out what else she had to say here.
