Trend alert: Feminism is the new black.

For the finale of most shows during fashion month, models walk the runway ever so gracefully, stoically, before they typically march together single-file to give you one last look at the line. But Karl Lagerfeld is anything but ordinary, and neither was his Chanel Spring 2015 show during Paris Fashion Week. He is the man who held his Fall 2014 show in a grocery supermarket, after all.

Today however, it took place on “Boulevard Chanel,” where for the finale, the models didn’t exactly march in the usual manner – they rallied.

Uncle Karl’s “protestors” were the who’s who of the industry, with ensembles accessorized by signs featuring messages like “Women’s rights are more than alright” and “History is her story.”

Cara Delevingne protested in signature Chanel tweed, while Gisele Bundchen marched down the street in stripes.

Joan Smalls protested in a black and white minidress.

Of course, model-of-the-moment Kendall, no Jenner, was present wearing, um, this:

And the day before, this is what she wore at Sonia Rykiel:
